A brown glazed jar, in the style of Han pottery,(206 BC-AD 220). Intricately adorned with 12 relief Zodiac animals, and incised with floral pattern. The finial on the lid is of a mystical chimera. Such an auspiciously decorated jar is usually used for ceremonial offerings to Heaven and Earth. The jars are in perfect condition, with only a minor chip on the relived waves.
